At YardBuddy, our top priority is keeping your yard clean, your family safe, and your pets happy — rain or shine. But what happens when the forecast turns gloomy and the skies open up? Let’s walk you through exactly how we handle rainy days, what you can expect as a customer, and how our weather policy keeps your service consistent and high-quality.

Rain doesn’t just mean getting wet — it changes everything from the safety of our team to the effectiveness of your cleanup. Wet yards, muddy conditions, and hidden piles of waste can lead to:

• Missed pet waste due to poor visibility

• Increased risk of slips and falls

• Mud tracking through your yard

• Unintentionally smearing waste across your lawn

• Delays in proper sanitation or deodorizer application

We take these risks seriously, which is why we have a clear rainy day policy in place.

🛠️ YardBuddy's Rainy Day Policy: What to Expect

Here’s how we handle inclement weather in a way that’s fair, efficient, and respectful of your lawn and schedule:

✅ Light Rain or Drizzle: We Still Scoop!

Our scoopers are equipped with weather-resistant gear and will complete your service as scheduled. We just ask that gates are unlocked, and pets are secured indoors to speed up the process.

⚠️ Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms, or Unsafe Conditions:

We may reschedule your cleanup for safety and quality assurance. You will receive a text or email alert as early as possible, and we'll work with you to find a new time—usually within 24–48 hours.

💨 High Winds, Lightning, or Flooding:

In extreme weather (think lightning storms or flooded yards), service will be paused and rescheduled. We do not want to compromise safety or the quality of your yard cleanup.

🧴 What Happens If We Can’t Scoop?

If service is delayed due to weather:

• You’ll never be charged for missed visits

• We’ll reschedule at the next available window

• If you're on a weekly plan, we’ll double check for extra waste on your next visit to catch anything missed
