Important Holiday Closures and Rescheduling Information

At YardBuddy, we believe in being clear, consistent, and upfront about how service works.

That includes holidays.

There will be certain holidays throughout the year when YardBuddy is closed and regular service will not take place that week on the holiday-affected route.

When that happens, we keep things simple.

We move to what we call Double Duty.

How Holiday Closures Work

If your regularly scheduled service day falls on a holiday, your cleanup visit may be skipped for that service cycle.

Instead of trying to squeeze in an extra make-up day during an already busy holiday schedule, your yard will be serviced on your next regular scheduled visit.

That next visit becomes a Double Duty cleanup.

What “Double Duty” Means

Double Duty means your next scheduled visit covers the extra buildup from the missed holiday week.

In other words:

If your service is skipped due to a holiday, the following scheduled visit will account for the fact that more time has passed since your last cleanup.

That means we arrive expecting more than the usual amount of buildup and clean accordingly.

Why We Handle It This Way

Holiday weeks can be unpredictable for everyone.

Families travel.

Schedules shift.

Routes become harder to adjust efficiently.

Rather than offering inconsistent make-up days or rushed service, YardBuddy keeps your route predictable by returning on your next normal service day and handling the heavier cleanup then.

This approach allows us to stay organized while still making sure your yard gets properly serviced.

Will There Be More Buildup?

Yes, usually.

Because more time has passed between visits, there may be roughly double the normal amount of buildup by the time of your next scheduled cleanup.

That is exactly why we call it Double Duty.

We understand that the next visit is not a typical visit, and we service it with that in mind.

Does My Regular Day Change Permanently?

No.

Holiday closures do not permanently change your service day.

After the holiday closure, we simply resume service on your next normal scheduled day.

Your regular route stays the same.

Will I Be Notified?

Yes.

If a holiday is going to affect your route, we will communicate that in advance so you know what to expect.

We want customers to understand:

  • when service will be skipped

  • when service will resume

  • and that the next visit will be a Double Duty cleanup

Clear communication matters, especially around schedule changes.

What Holidays May Affect Service?

This can vary, but major holidays may affect service, such as:

  • Thanksgiving

  • Christmas

  • New Year’s Day

  • Easter

  • Independence Day

If your route is impacted, you will be notified ahead of time.

What Customers Should Expect After a Holiday Week

After a holiday closure, your next scheduled cleanup may involve:

  • more waste than usual

  • a slightly heavier cleanup

  • extra attention to buildup areas

That is normal.

The goal is to get your yard caught back up on your next regular day without creating confusion in the schedule.

Why Consistency Matters

At YardBuddy, we do not want customers wondering whether their visit will happen on a random make-up day.

Keeping service tied to your normal route makes things easier for everyone.

You know when to expect us.

We know how to plan the route.

And your yard still gets brought back under control at the next visit.

Our Goal During Holiday Weeks

Our goal is not to create a complicated rescheduling system.

Our goal is to handle holiday interruptions in a way that is:

  • simple

  • predictable

  • fair

  • clearly communicated

That is why Double Duty is part of our service approach.

Final Thoughts

Holiday closures happen.

When they do, YardBuddy keeps things straightforward.

If your scheduled visit is affected by a holiday, your service may resume on your next regular scheduled day, and that visit will be treated as a Double Duty cleanup to address the added buildup.

No confusion.

No surprise route changes.

Just a clear plan for how holiday service is handled.
